BHB runs a network of transmitters well beyond the capital. As of early 2020 its frequencies included Eldoret 96.3, Kisumu 101.5, Nakuru 102.9, Voi 105.3 and Lokichogio 102.5. It also has an English-language sister, Truth FM on 90.7 FM in Nairobi, and the two stations have shared one newsroom. BHB is one of the oldest media companies in the country.
The licence is in the name Bibilia Husema Broadcasting, spelt that way in the regulator's register for mid-2026, with the station identity BHB Radio. That commercial FM licence dates from 7 March 2018 and runs ten years. The same company also holds a free-to-air television licence.
The station has had hard times. Around the time a new board took over in October 2019, senior managers resigned, and advertisers started pulling out. Some staff said they had gone months without salary. In February 2020 the company laid off at least 17 people across BHB and Truth FM, with the shared newsroom taking the heaviest cut. Among the staff named as affected was Denis Mulwa, who worked as a swing presenter.
