No accounts, nothing sold. Here is exactly what is stored, where, and for how long
- No accounts. You never sign up or give us a name, phone number or password.
- Saved stations and recent plays stay in your own browser (local storage). We never receive them. Clearing your browser data removes them.
- Calendar reminders are a file your phone creates and keeps. We never see them.
- Notification reminders are different. If you tap "Notify me", your browser gives us a push address for your device (a long random web address from Google, Apple, Mozilla or Microsoft), with the station, the time you picked and your time zone. We store that on Cloudflare, our host, only to send the daily reminder. It contains no name or number. It is deleted after 180 days, when you turn notifications off in your browser, or when the push service tells us it no longer works.
- WhatsApp. If you message our WhatsApp number, Meta passes us your message and number so we can reply with a station link. We do not keep a list of numbers or send you anything you did not ask for. Meta's own WhatsApp privacy policy applies to the chat itself.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to count visits, plays and listening time per station, so we know which stations people use. It sets cookies. You can block them in your browser and every feature still works. The lite pages use no analytics; they only count plays without cookies.
- One cookie of our own. If you choose the full site from the lite version, a cookie called
orfullremembers that choice for 30 days. It holds nothing else. - Streams. When you press play, your device connects straight to the station's own server, which sees your IP address as any website does. We do not record or re-broadcast audio.
- Your rights. Under the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019 you can ask what we hold about you or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected].
