Coco FM

Coco FM is a coastal station broadcasting on 98.9 FM from Kilifi, with news, business, health and entertainment for listeners along the Kenyan coast. Its office is at Imarika Plaza in Kilifi town, and the station is part of Coco Media, which runs the website cocomedia.co.ke.

The website gives a fair picture of what the station covers. It has separate sections for news, business, health and entertainment, which suggests a talk-and-music format rather than a music-only one. The station says its on-air team includes coastal comedians and well-known local personalities. We have not found a list naming them, so we do not name presenters here. The site presents those personalities as a big part of the station's appeal.

Coco FM is sometimes described as a Mombasa station that broadcasts in English. The station itself gives only the Kilifi frequency of 98.9 FM, and it does not state a main broadcast language. We have not seen the station confirm its language mix, so we leave that field blank.

We have also not found the owner behind Coco Media, the station's launch date, or a programme schedule. Kilifi listeners also have other coastal options, including Royal Media's Bahari FM and Radio Kaya.
