KU FM

KU Radio 99.9 FM is Kenyatta University's campus station, branded 'The Sound of Campus' and aimed at students and young listeners in Nairobi. It plays music and DJ mixes, carries live sports commentary and runs talk shows built around youth and campus life.

The station belongs to Kenyatta University and broadcasts from its main campus off Thika Road. The station describes itself as a youth-focused community station, built around the interests of students and young people rather than a general commercial audience.

Sport gets serious airtime. KU Radio carries live sports commentary, which sets it apart from campus stations that stick to music and talk.

99.9 FM is a shared frequency in Nairobi. Several low-power stations have shared the number, including KU FM, USIU Radio, Koch FM, MMU FM and Mtaani Radio. Each uses a small transmitter for its own area, so what you hear on 99.9 depends on where in the city you are. Around Kenyatta University, the KU Radio signal is the one to expect.

We have not confirmed the main broadcast language or the names of current presenters and shows, so none are listed. Near the Kenyatta University campus, tune to 99.9 FM. The station's website is kuradio.ku.ac.ke, and you can stream KU Radio live on this page.
