Live page

Nosim FM is the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation's Maa-language station, made for Maasai listeners in Kajiado, Narok and neighbouring areas. It carries news, public information, music and community programmes in Maa, with a strong focus on pastoral communities.

The station is part of the vernacular wave KBC launched in 2011, which also brought Kitwek FM, Minto FM, Mwago FM and Mayienga FM. Nosim FM later spent about ten years off air. It came back when KBC switched on a new transmitter at Oleleshwa Hills in Kajiado County, giving Maa speakers in the area a clear public service signal again.

For pastoralist listeners, much of the value lies in hearing national news and public information in Maa rather than in English or Kiswahili, alongside Maasai music and talk. Its studio is in Nairobi, while the transmitters serve the Maa-speaking counties to the south and west of the capital.

KBC is a state corporation created by an Act of Parliament (Cap 221), with its head office on Harry Thuku Road. Sister stations include Radio Taifa, KBC English Service, Coro FM and Pwani FM. We have not confirmed current presenters or programme names, so none are listed.

KBC lists Nosim FM on 90.5 FM in Narok and Kajiado. If you are outside the coverage area, stream Nosim FM live on this page.
