Nyota FM

Nyota FM is a local radio station in Bungoma, on 107.3 FM, for listeners in Bungoma County and nearby parts of Western Kenya. It runs a general entertainment format with music, news, information and talk.

Nyota is the Kiswahili word for star.

One point to watch: Mururi FM in Nairobi has also been given as 107.3. Two stations can share a frequency when they are far enough apart, so this is not necessarily a conflict, but if you are tuning in outside Bungoma you may land on a different station.

Beyond the frequency and the town, we have not confirmed who owns Nyota FM, when it started, or which languages it uses on air. Bungoma's main local languages are Lubukusu and Kiswahili, but we have left the language field blank until the station confirms it. We have also not listed any presenters or programmes.

In Bungoma, tune to 107.3 FM on any FM radio, including the receiver built into many basic phones. Anywhere else in Kenya, or abroad, you can stream Nyota FM live on this page. If you know the station, the details we most want to add are its owner, its language and the names of its main shows.
