Radio Ashe

Radio Ashe is a Christian radio station in Samburu County, broadcasting Bible teaching and community programmes to listeners in remote villages. It is aimed at Samburu communities that have little access to other media.

SonSet Solutions, a Christian organisation that builds solar-powered radio equipment for missions, supplied Radio Ashe's first transmitter. The station reaches remote villages with Bible teaching and programmes about community life.

Samburu County covers a large, dry stretch of northern Kenya, with Maralal as its main town and many pastoralist families living in scattered settlements. Radio Ashe is meant to reach those villages, where other media rarely get through.

There is a gap in what we can confirm. Radio Ashe has been given as 106.5 FM, but we have not been able to confirm that, and 106.5 FM is also used by a different station, Kalya FM in Kapenguria, West Pokot. We have therefore not recorded a frequency. We have also not confirmed the station's owner, launch date or broadcast languages, and we have not listed presenters or shows.

The simplest way to listen is to stream Radio Ashe on this page. If you are in Samburu and know its frequency, that is the detail we most want to add.
