Radio Kisima

Radio Kisima is a Christian radio station in Nyamira County, broadcasting on 89.7 FM for listeners in the Gusii highlands. Its name is the Swahili word for a well.

The basics are settled. Radio Kisima is a Christian station on 89.7 FM, and it is one of the Nyanza region's stations, based in Nyamira.

Beyond that, the public record is thin, and the station does not appear to have its own website. We have not been able to confirm which church or organisation runs Radio Kisima, which company holds its licence, when it started, or which languages it uses on air. Given its location, Ekegusii and Kiswahili are both likely, but neither is confirmed, so we have left the language blank. We have also not listed any presenters or programmes.

Listeners in other parts of Kenya may come across a different station on the same number. Mitume Radio, the Catholic Diocese of Kitale's station, also broadcasts on 89.7 FM, but in Trans Nzoia, far enough away that the two signals do not meet.

Inside Nyamira, tune to 89.7 FM on any FM radio or phone with a radio receiver. Anywhere else, or if the signal is weak, stream Radio Kisima live on this page.
