Radio Midnimo

Radio Midnimo is a community station from Nairobi. Midnimo is the Somali word for unity, which suggests a station for Somali-speaking listeners, but we have not found the station itself confirming its language, audience or location. It is based in Nairobi and has no known FM frequency.

We have found no website, licence record, owner, frequency or presenter for Radio Midnimo, and no news reports about it. That does not mean it does not exist, but it does mean we cannot tell you much more than its name and city.

For context, Nairobi has a sizeable Somali-speaking population, centred on Eastleigh, and several Somali-language broadcasters already serve it. Star FM, which has broadcast in Somali since 2005, is the oldest. KBC runs Iftiin FM, and Radio Ergo produces Somali humanitarian programming from Nairobi. A community station called Radio Midnimo would sit alongside those, but we cannot confirm how it compares.

If you know the station, its frequency or its organisers, please get in touch so we can correct and expand this page.

For now, the way to listen is the player on this page, which streams over mobile data or Wi-Fi from anywhere. If the stream does not play, the station may have changed its name or gone off air.
