Sema FM

Sema FM is a local music station in Bungoma County, reported to be on 98.3 FM, playing Afrobeats, gospel, dancehall and reggae. It is linked to both Webuye and Bungoma town, which sit in the same county.

The playlist is the clearest thing known about it. Afrobeats, dancehall and reggae make up the secular side of the playlist, and gospel sits alongside them. That is a playlist pitched at listeners who want current dance and party music during the week, with faith music in the same rotation.

Beyond that, we have very little. We have not found Sema FM's owner, its licence record, its launch date, its main language or any presenter names, and we did not find a website or news coverage about it. Treat the frequency of 98.3 FM as unconfirmed. We have also not confirmed whether the station broadcasts from Webuye town itself or from elsewhere in the county.

Sema is Swahili for 'speak' or 'say', a name that suggests talk and call-ins as well as music, but we have not found programme details to confirm that.
