Sky FM

Sky FM is a commercial station in Kisumu, licensed as Sky 106.1 FM and offering entertainment, news and talk for listeners in the lakeside city. Its licence holder is Sky Group Limited.

The ownership comes from the Communications Authority of Kenya's July 2024 register, which lists Sky 106.1 FM under Sky Group Limited. The station is based in Kisumu, and its format is entertainment, news and talk. The frequency is part of the station's licensed name, so 106.1 FM is the place to tune. Commercial licences in Kenya are granted to stations that sell airtime, as opposed to community or campus licences.

One detail is worth flagging. The station appears in the July 2024 register but not in the regulator's November 2024 list. That could reflect a change in licence status, a change of name or simply a gap in the register. We have not found an explanation, so we cannot say for certain whether Sky FM is still broadcasting on FM in 2026.

We have not found the station's main language, its launch date, a website or presenter names. The licensed name, Sky 106.1 FM, is the most reliable identifier, so search for that if you are looking for the station elsewhere.
