Live page

Sulwe FM is Royal Media Services' Lubukusu station, made for the Bukusu community of western Kenya and broadcasting on 89.6 FM. Royal Media says it also makes room for neighbouring Luhya dialects, among them Kabras, Tachoni, Wanga, Bakhayo, Banyala, Batura and Bagisu.

The slogan is 'Nakhalondo Yefwe'. Programming covers news, music, cultural talk and education, with a stated goal of preserving Bukusu culture while keeping listeners entertained. Sulwe is one of two dialect stations Royal Media added next to Mulembe FM, its station for the broader Luhya audience. The other is Vuuka FM, for the Maragoli.

The breakfast show Bwasia ne Sulwe takes its name from daybreak and runs on weekdays from 5am to 10am. Mumilimo, hosted by Esther, follows mid-morning with a focus on hard work and commitment. After that come Banjuka for young listeners, Mwakitela on the evening drive and Omundu no Mundu late at night, a show about marriage and relationships.

On weekends there is Bwasia Munyongesa, sport on Kemubikuri, and Avelikhanga, which is presented in Tachoni once a week. Esango ya Sulwe is hosted by Esther Waswa (Esther Syombo), while Eliud Situma hosts the gospel programme Ekelesia ya Sulwe. Music slots cover Luhya songs, rhumba, reggae and South African kwaito.
