Swahilipot FM

Swahilipot FM is a youth-focused community station in Mombasa, linked to the Swahili Pot Hub Foundation, a centre for young creatives and tech entrepreneurs on the coast. It went on air on International Youth Day, 12 August 2024.

The launch was covered by the Media Council of Kenya, whose Mombasa regional coordinator spoke at the event. The council framed the station as part of its push to strengthen young people's voices in the media, which gives a clear sense of what Swahilipot FM is for: a place where young Mombasa residents make radio as well as listen to it.

The Swahili Pot Hub connection is implied by the name and by the launch coverage rather than stated in a formal ownership record, so we describe it as a link and not as confirmed ownership.

Swahilipot FM is reported to broadcast on 91.7 FM. We have not been able to verify that figure from the regulator or the station, so it is not shown as a fact here. We have also not confirmed the main broadcast language. No presenters or shows have been published. Information about the hub's other youth programmes is available from the Swahili Pot Hub Foundation itself.
