Programming mixes Kalenjin music, news, sport, talk and cultural shows. The station aims to reach the whole Kalenjin family, including Kipsigis, Nandi, Keiyo, Tugen, Marakwet, Sabaot, Pokot, Sengwer and Terik speakers, and was founded in 2016. Its studios are at the NHIF Building, off Ngong Road in Nairobi.

In 2021 Taach FM won the Regional Broadcaster award for radio in the South Rift region. The following year brought upheaval. In November 2022 the station let go of five presenters: Chepkam Comedian, Edwin Tonui, Kebenei, Arap Nwach and political morning host Bruce Bett. Chepkam said the dismissals followed a dispute with management over on-air money games, which listeners paid to enter. No current presenter line-up is listed here.

The station's owner is not publicly named. Its website is taachfm.co.ke, and it posts clips on Instagram and YouTube.
