Urumwe FM

Urumwe FM is a local radio station in Nyeri on 93.5 FM. It plays African music alongside entertainment and information programming.

Nyeri's audience is largely Kikuyu-speaking, and stations in the area usually broadcast in Kikuyu with some Kiswahili, but we have not confirmed which languages Urumwe FM uses, so we have left that field blank.

Much of the rest is unconfirmed too. We have not found reliable information on who owns Urumwe FM, which company holds its licence, when it went on air or what its daily schedule looks like. We have not listed any presenters or shows for the same reason. If you run the station or listen regularly, the licence holder and the names of the main shows are the details we most want to add.

Nyeri has a crowded dial, shared with national stations, KBC's Kikuyu station Coro FM on 102.3, and other community stations such as Rware FM on 101.7. If you are scanning in the area, 93.5 sits well away from those, so it should be easy to find, and as far as we know it is not shared with any other Nyeri station.

In Nyeri, tune to 93.5 FM on any FM radio or on a phone with a built-in receiver. Listeners elsewhere in Kenya or abroad can stream Urumwe FM live on this page.
