NRG Radio is a Nairobi urban music station for young listeners, playing hip hop, afrobeats and pop in English. It broadcasts on 97.1 FM.

The station launched in 2018 on 91.3 FM. Kevin Mulei, founder of MoSound, was among the partners behind it. From the start NRG sold itself on video as much as audio: it described itself as an audiovisual radio station, and its IP-based studios used equipment from the German firm Lawo, with the ability to stream live video from the studio to social media. Within its first year it had built a big Instagram following.

In April 2019, around its first anniversary, NRG moved to 97.1 FM. A month later it opened two sister stations: FunX, on the old 91.3 FM frequency and aimed at teenagers, and Choice Radio on 87.7 FM, playing older hits for listeners over 30.

The station's best-known early hosts were Kamene Goro and Andrew Kibe, who presented the breakfast show with DJ Kace. In June 2019 the pair left at short notice for Kiss 100. NRG sued them, saying they had signed a non-compete clause, and the Employment and Labour Relations Court briefly barred them from joining Kiss pending a hearing. Mwalimu Rachel then moved to breakfast alongside DJ Kace.
