Carol Radull

Carol Radull is the managing director of SportyFM Kenya, the country's first 24 hour sports radio station, and the best known name attached to it. SportyFM went on air on 105.0 FM in Nairobi in August 2025 and was formally launched at Diamond Plaza in Nairobi on 8 April 2026, with Radull speaking as its head. She is also described as its lead presenter, though no fixed weekly show slot has been published for her.

She came to SportyFM with more than 20 years in radio. Most of that was at Radio Africa Group, where she rose from news reporter to senior management and became popular as a host of Score Kenya. Her on-air team with Kieni Githinji and Roy Karuhize first made its name at Classic 105. She has also worked as a sports presenter at Nation Media Group, as a producer for the BBC and as a producer at Reuters.

Her later Radio Africa years were spent mostly in management, which she said did not suit her, and her time there ended when her contract was not renewed. After two years off air she returned in November 2024 on Spice FM, hosting the Playground Show from 2pm to 6pm with Githinji and Karuhize. Less than a year later she was named to lead SportyFM.

Outside the studio she founded Jaza Stadi, a campaign urging Kenyans to turn up for local sports events, and she has spoken up for local athletes, including the Kenya women's amputee football team when it was stranded in Germany in 2024. At SportyFM she has said the aim is to give fans "a platform to be open, heard and hyped" and to cover sports that rarely get airtime. In April 2026 she said the station planned to broadcast across the whole country by the end of the year.
