MCA Tricky

MCA Tricky, real name Francis Munyao, is a comedian and radio presenter who spent six years at Mediamax's Milele FM. He has now left. In a statement on 22 July 2026 he said his time at the station ran from June 2020 to June 2026, ending after he and management could not agree on his request for a short unpaid study leave.

He became famous before radio, through the street boy character he played on the Churchill Show. Broadcasters saw that his streetwise humour could work on morning radio. In October 2018 he joined the Standard Group's Radio Maisha and co-hosted the breakfast show Maisha Asubuhi with Billy Miya.

In June 2020 he moved to Milele FM to join the breakfast show, replacing Jalang'o, with Alex Mwakideu and Chris The Bass as co-hosts. Later he hosted the Milele Drive show, which is where listeners heard him before his exit.

In his farewell he thanked Mediamax, his producers and co-presenters, and listeners who had let him into their homes, cars and workplaces. He has not said where he is going next, only that he plans to keep entertaining his audience. Mediamax had not responded publicly at the time.
