Omwana Amabuda

Omwana Amabuda is an on-air name on Egesa FM, the Ekegusii language station run by Royal Media Services. Royal Media names Omwana Amabuda and DJ Ryza as the hosts of Bwatera Abwo Ebirundo, a youthful entertainment show that airs from 1pm to 4pm, Monday to Friday. Little else about the presenter has been published, and the current line-up has not been confirmed for 2026, so treat the details below as the station's own description.

Royal Media describes Bwatera Abwo Ebirundo Biegesa as a show that previews the coming weekend's sports, local and international, across a range of disciplines. It also plays gospel music, which the station pitches as spiritual nourishment for listeners during their afternoon break. Royal Media pitches the programme at younger listeners, with sport and music sharing the same three hours.

The show sits between Omogusii N'Ekebago, the mid-morning programme whose name translates as a Mkisii with a jembe, which ends at 1pm, and the drive-time slot from 4pm. Mornings belong to Boka Boka, the station's five hour breakfast programme of news, current affairs and entertainment.

Egesa FM, whose slogan Enguba ya Mwanyagetinge means the shield of the community, broadcasts on 94.6 FM in Kisii and Nyamira and on 103.2 FM in Nairobi. It also streams on Citizen Digital, and Royal Media says the station is popular in US states such as Minnesota, Texas and Maryland, where many Abagusii live.
