Onesmus Mwengei, known on air as Sir Mwenge Mwenge, hosts Waamukata, the weekday breakfast show on Musyi FM, Royal Media Services' Kamba language station. Royal Media calls Waamukata the station's flagship programme, the show that sets the day rolling and anchors everything after it. It airs from 6am to 10am.
Mwengei has been the main voice of the morning show for years. In 2019 he was the lead presenter on Waamukata, then paired with comedian Mukamba Mujanja, and he also presented Ngui Situ, a Saturday programme about Kamba benga artists and their music.
He is still on the breakfast show in 2026. On 19 March 2026, Musyi FM took Waamukata out of the studio for a Mashinani outside broadcast at Acacia Resort in Wote, Makueni County. The Media Council of Kenya's Media Observer reported that the roundtable brought together county officials, members of the county assembly, civil society and residents, who raised questions about health services and livestock insurance and got answers on air. The newsletter praised the broadcast as an example of public service radio.
Musyi, meaning home, broadcasts on 102.2 FM in Nairobi and Machakos, 103.6 FM in Kitui and Makueni, 92.2 FM in Kibwezi and 100 FM in Mombasa.
