Massawe Japanni is a Kiswahili radio presenter best known for Bustani, the weekday mid-morning show on Radio Africa's Radio Jambo, which she co-hosts with Eric Kilingo (Alibaba). Despite frequent searches linking her to Radio Maisha, she is not known to have worked at the Standard Group station.
Her career runs through several stations. She worked at Q FM, a Nation Media Group station, before Mediamax's Milele FM recruited her. She then joined Radio Jambo, where she interviewed well-known guests. She left Radio Jambo in April 2017, and while off air she was a judge on the TV programme Ultimate Comedy Show. She has said radio was still her first love, and she returned to Radio Jambo's 10am slot.
Kilingo, a former Milele FM presenter, joined her on Bustani in December 2020.
Her 2026 status is less clear. On 1 April 2026 she signed off with the words "This is my last day on Radio Jambo". That came during the week Radio Africa promoted The Takeover, its 25th anniversary event on 3 April 2026, when presenters across its four stations swapped shows for a day. She is not known to have joined another station since, and Radio Africa has not confirmed an October 2026 schedule for her.
