Muthee Kiengei

Muthee Kiengei is a Kikuyu radio presenter, comedian and church leader who announced on 12 October 2026 that he was joining Inooro FM after years at Kameme FM. Inooro had not publicly named his new show at the time of writing, so the slot he will present remains unconfirmed.

He was born Benson Gathungu Kamau on 22 January 1986 in Nakuru County. He went to Maji Mazuri Forest Primary School and then Tumaini Secondary School, but left in form two because of school fees. Comedy came first. He performed in Nakuru and other towns, telling stories drawn from everyday Kikuyu life, and in 2009 he was selling CDs in Thika.

His radio career began at KBC's Coro FM. He moved to Kameme FM in 2012, made his name on the late-night show Ma-Watchmen with Gatonye wa Mbugua, and the pair later co-hosted the breakfast show Arahuka. He also fronted his own programme on Kameme TV.

In February 2023 he founded Jesus Compassion Ministries in Ruiru, which now reports more than 88 branches in Kenya and abroad, and he leads it as bishop. Responding to questions about leaving Kameme, he said presenters move between stations all the time and his move was no different.
