Rashid Mwamkondo

Rashid Mwamkondo is a co-host of Zinga, the weekday breakfast show on KBC Radio Taifa, the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation's Kiswahili station on 92.9 FM in Nairobi. He presents the show with Dorah Manya, and the two have presented Zinga together since at least early 2024.

He has been part of Radio Taifa for several years. In 2021, when KBC relaunched its radio brands, he was among the station's presenters, alongside names such as Jeff Mwangemi, Caroline Mramba, Mathias Momanyi and the late Edmond Sellasia. He has also appeared on KBC's television side, including a talk show and interview on KBC Channel 1.

Zinga is a talk led show. The hosts choose a topic for the day and take calls from listeners, with the stated aim of informing, educating and entertaining. It is scheduled for 6am to 10am on weekdays, though in 2025 it was said to start at 5am, so the start time may have changed. Mwamkondo was last confirmed on Zinga in August 2025.

Radio Taifa uses the slogan Sauti ya Mkenya and broadcasts nationally, including 100.8 FM in Mombasa, 104.5 FM in Kisumu, 104.1 FM in Nakuru, 88.6 FM in Eldoret and 87.6 FM in Nyeri. Majadiliano ya Taifa follows the breakfast show from 11am. The 2026 line-up has not been confirmed, so this is the latest known line-up.
