Victor Otieno Juma

Victor Otieno Juma is the host of Kogwen, the weekday breakfast show on Ramogi FM, the Dholuo station run by Royal Media Services. A February 2026 review by the Media Council of Kenya's Media Observer newsletter named him as the presenter of the programme, which runs from 5am to 10am.

Kogwen is the station's current affairs flagship. Royal Media describes it as a show meant to inform, entertain and educate at the start of each weekday. It mixes music with a diary of the day's main events, weather, sports and business updates and a review of the morning newspapers. On Mondays, the 8am to 10am stretch carries #KakaWanene, a current affairs segment where journalists take apart the week's big stories on governance and leadership.

The show has also moved onto phones. According to the same Media Observer piece, Ramogi FM's morning and afternoon presenters now livestream their shows on TikTok. Listeners can watch guest interviews and behind the scenes moments as they happen, comment in real time and put questions to the presenter while the programme is on air. Clips and highlights are then shared to pull more people back to the live broadcast.

Ramogi FM targets Luo listeners across the Lake region and beyond. It broadcasts on 107.1 FM in Nairobi, 107.6 FM in Kisumu, 98.4 FM in Siaya and 97.0 FM in Homa Bay, with more frequencies in Migori, Mombasa and Nakuru, and streams live on Citizen Digital.
