Radio Generation on 88.8 FM
Radio Generation Kenya, often shortened to RGK, is a Nairobi talk and current affairs station on 88.8 FM, built for listeners who want news, politics and opinion more than music.
The station belongs to Sharp Generation Media Ltd, which was founded by Ahmed Hassan, also known as Asmali. Its head office is on the first floor of George Padmore Ridge, George Padmore Road, Nairobi. The station's own about page says it targets mature, urban and tech-savvy audiences as well as younger listeners looking for fresh views.
RGK went on air in 2025. In July that year former Spice FM host CT Muga joined the recently launched station as a guest presenter on The People's Breakfast, its first morning show, alongside Munga'la Mbuvi and Patriciah Wayua. Muga had spent close to six years on Spice FM's The Situation Room. Another programme, Power File, is quoted in the station's own 2026 news coverage of election debates. Imani Radio on 88.8 FM
Imani Radio is a Christian station in Kitale, broadcasting on 88.8 FM to listeners across Trans Nzoia, the North Rift and Western Kenya.
The station makes two claims about its own history. It calls itself the first Christian station in Western Kenya, and says it was the first radio signal of any kind to reach the Pokot and Turkana pastoral communities. Those are the station's descriptions, not independent findings, but they explain the audience it set out to serve: pastoralist communities in remote areas as well as farming towns around Kitale.
Its American partner, Faith Radio, is a Christian broadcaster based in Florida. The Kenyan station's licence is held locally, by Imani Radio and T.V. Ministries Ltd, according to the Communications Authority of Kenya register.
