Mariam Bishar is a co-host of Fixing the Nation, the breakfast programme that Nation FM and NTV broadcast together every weekday from 6am to 10am. In April 2026 she was still one of the show's hosts, next to Eric Latiff.
Bishar was already a Nation FM regular before the current format. She co-hosted The Morning Fix with Brian Aseli, with DJ E joining on Fridays. That show ended on 31 January 2025. On air, Aseli said goodbye and described her move as stepping onto a bigger stage, focused on accountability and change.
Fixing the Nation launched on 3 February 2025 with Bishar, Latiff and Janet Mbugua. The programme mixes conversation about issues affecting Kenyans with expert guests and calls from listeners. When Mbugua left in April 2026, Fellaris Wambui took her seat, and Bishar stayed on.
Her broadcasting career started early. At 19 she was hosting the Great Debaters Contest on KBC Channel One. She has also worked at Homeboyz Radio, and she runs a podcast called Hadithi Hadithi. Nation FM is the Nation Media Group station that used to be called Easy FM. Because Fixing the Nation goes out on radio, TV and digital platforms at the same time, Bishar's morning audience now reaches well beyond the radio dial.
